Weekend Re-cap

I finally have my little munchkin butt home! He spent last week with my parents. I missed him a lot but I know that he had a great time with grandma and grandpa. He even got to drive the truck while my dad fed cows. He thought that was pretty cool. My dad said he stood up there and held the steering wheel like he was really driving. I started "driving" for my dad when I was his age too. He would bug my dad as soon as he got home to go out and do chores. What a good kid. I was so happy to see him. It was pretty lonely being without both my boys for a whole week. Dustin was able to come home on Thursday night. The first week of the month he has school so he gets the weekend after that off. Because he has been working so hard lately, I decided to plan a quick trip to Mesquite, so he could just relax and not worry about anything at home or helping out on the dairy. He got home Thursday night and we went to eat at our favorite restaurant in Marysvale Canyon called Hoovers. They have really really good food. My favorite is the scones even though it is kind of gross watching Dustin dip his in ketchup. Yuck!

Dustin's dad was in the hospital in St. George again. A few weeks ago he had most of his left leg amputated and it was healing very well. They ended up having to go back in and cut more of his leg off. We went down to visit him. He was funny, cause he had a toy fan with a sucker on it, that he had to show us because he was saving it for his "little buddy". Dalley know grandpa Dahl is always good for some candy.

After the hospital we headed to Mesquite. It was fun being there without Dalley, even though we missed him. I had forgotten what it was like to spend time with Dustin without Dalley in tow. We went to some stores and did some shopping. Dustin played a few slots then we headed for the arcade. I whipped him in skee ball, but he beat me at air hockey. I must be losing my touch because I used to be really awesome at air hockey. Around 8:00 Anne and Chizel showed up and that is when the fun began. We went and had some great seafood at the Virgin River buffet. Then Chizel taught Dustin about playing at a 21 table. Dustin got into it until I made them quit so we could go bowling. We had a really good time and we all were terrible bowlers. I think that made it more fun though. After bowling Dustin and Chiz went back to their table and Anne and I checked out a few more slot machines.

It was a much needed weekend of relaxation, thanks to Anne and Chiz for going with us and thanks to mom and dad for guarding Dalley for the week.

This is the picture that almost got me kicked out of the casino, apparently you aren't allowed to take pictures in a casino. An old lady who was a frequent gambler came over and told me not to take any more pictures or I would get thrown out.
