This is a tag that I saw on my friend Sadie's blog. Since I love these kinds of things I decided to coyote it from her blog and use it on mine.

Where did you begin 2008?I think that we played games with Dustin's mom and then went home and were in bed at 11:30.

What was your status by Valentine's Day? Very Pregnant

Were you in school (anytime this year)? I went to 5 trainings for work that are kind of like little school sessions, but no official schooling

Did you have to go to the hospital?I had a baby so I went to the hospital for that, and after Dalley was born he lived in the NICU in St. George so we lived there with him.

Did you have any encounters with the police? Our neighbor called the police on us and accused us of cutting her trees down, so they came and questioned us. It turned out that her grandson had done it and lied so he wouldn't get in trouble.

Where did you go on vacation?Hiko a lot, Moab

What did you purchase that was over $500?All I can think of right now is a camp trailer, a saddle, and a couple of horses.

Did you know anybody who got married? My awesome friend Carrie got married in December

Did you know anybody who passed away?Dustin's Uncle Dan died a week before Dalley was born

Did you move anywhere?Moved into the Dairy house in November

What sporting events did you attend? Some of Ryan's baseball games

What concerts/shows did you go to?None that I can think of

Where do you live now?Southern Utah

Describe your birthday:It was just a regular day. I came to work. Dustin's sister and her family gave me presents then Dalley and I went to Hiko to celebrate with Shawn and Stina. Shawn's birthday is the day after mine.

What's the one thing you thought you would never do but did in 2008?Visited Bryce Canyon.

What has been your favorite moment(s)?The happiest I was all year was the day they let us leave the NICU. Dustin and I were so excited and we got ready and wanted to leave as soon as we could. We were both afraid that if we didn't get out fast then they might change their minds. Also when we found out the blockage in Dalley's ureter had gone away and he wouldn't need any type of procedure. Dustin and I danced around the kitchen when we got the message

What's something you learned about yourself?I am a lot more like my mom than I ever thought. I always thought that I was nothing like her because she is so neat and organized and I am not, but every day I do things that remind me of her.

Any new additions to your family?Dalley J Westwood and numerous dogs and horses that lasted in our family for a short while. (Dustin is an avid horse and dog trader)

What was your best month?March, I was off of work and it was just Dalley time. Also December because I got to take time off to just be with him again.

What music will you remember 2008 by?I don't know if I can pick just one, there are too many

Made new friends?Jill moved to Circleville and we became closer friends, I am very thankful for her

Any regrets?I try not to think about them

What would you change about 2008?I would like to have not had to spend so much in Dr.s bills

What did you like most about 2008?Becoming a mom. The most awesome thing I have ever done by far

Other than home, where did you spend most of your time? At the good old NRCS office in Panguitch

Change your hairstyle?Kind of, it is longer than it has ever been now.

Get a new job?Yep, Mommy

How old did you turn this year? Twenty-eight

Do you have a New Year's resolution?Yes

What was your favorite purchase?Hard to say, We spent most of our money on Dr bills and baby stuff

Did you get sick this year? The yearly cold I get every November

Start a new hobby?Who has time for hobbies these days?

What are you wishing for in 2009?
To get all the improvements done that I have planned for our house.

A post with a lot of random pictures

I finally uploaded my pictures off my camera so this post is just going to be full of random pictures from Christmas and other random stuff that has happened.

This is a picture of what happens when you leave dad to make dinner. He thinks black licorice is foodThis is one of my favorite pictures of Ira. It looks like he is smiling.

Here is Dalley with my grandma, he was being a pill that night and wouldn't let grandpa hold him.

My dad was eating a turkey leg and Dalley decided to take over. By the end he was sucking the meat off the bone.

My Willow Tree Nativity. I think it is too nice to put it away so I am keeping it out year round.

This is Ira and Dalley in the backseat of my mom's car on the way to the ranch from Great Grandma Hatch's house. They were tired from all the attention.

This is Dalley getting into mischief at my mom's house. By the time we left she had her house turned upside down.

Kate and L.E., Kate is 6 and L.E. is 6 months

Dalley loves Uncle Shawn

This is the best picture we got of all three babies, it is before Dalley stole L.E.'s toy and tried to hold Ira up.

The cute walker my mom bought Dalley for Christmas. He runs everywhere with it now.

My favorite picture of Ira and Dalley together.

It is about time for an update

I haven't updated in forever because I keep forgetting to bring my camera to download pictures. So I decided I would post without pictures and put pictures on later.
Christmas was really great this year. Since I had the nightmare audit at the first of December I decided to take the rest of the month off. On the 19th my parents met Dustin and I in Cedar and Dalley and I went out to Hiko with them. We spent the days up to Christmas making Christmas treats and reminding Dalley that he has a mommy. I had so much fun feeling like a regular mom and getting to spend so much time with my baby. It made me really want to quit my job.

On Christmas Eve Dustin came and so did Shawn and Stina and beautiful baby Ira. Dalley was so excited to see his dad and his cousin Ira. He is so funny because he is completely taken by Ira. He loves him. We have the cutest pictures of the two of them in the matching onesies I bought them. I will post them later. After everyone arrived we headed down to Grandma and Grandpa Hatch's for Christmas Eve dinner. Dustin loves going to my grandma's especially when there is the promise of food and grandma didn't disappoint. The food was really good. After dinner we played cards. My Uncle Kylie was there and it was good to see him again.

Christmas day was relaxed and fun. Dalley got a bike that is also a walker. He was so cute. He would push it and yell to make sure everyone was watching. He was really proud of himself. Dustin surprised me with the Willow Tree Nativity scene that I have been wanting forever. I was so impressed cause he is not the type to go to a store by himself. It meant a lot for him to surprise me like this. I also was able to surprise him for the first time. I had my uncle make him a nice set of leather saddle bags with his initials on them. He loves them and has been showing them to everyone who will pay attention ever since.

The day after Christmas Dustin left Dalley and me and came home cause he had to be here to feed while everyone else got time off. We were sad to see him go, but happy we stayed cause Luke and family came that night. I hadn't seen little L.E. for awhile and she is getting so big and cute. She and Dalley had fun together. They would jabber at each other, it was really funny. We took pictures of the babies all together.

I finally came home on the 30th worked the 31st then took the rest of the week off. I didn't want to come back to work, but is also good to have my schedule back. Now if only I could quit and never come back......

Update and Other Things

I just thought I would update on Dalley's Holter results. Dr. Ethridge called us the other day and said that the Holter looked pretty good. She is not concerned about his heart during the day but is still worried about at night and naptime. Because of this she wants us to get an automated external defibrillator (AED). In case you don't know those are the paddle things in the movies that doctors use to shock a persons heart into beating again. The one we will get is a little different though, no paddles just little wires on sticky things that you stick to his chest and side to shock him. It also takes a reading of the heartbeat to let you know if you need to use it or not. I am a little nervous explaining this to the babysitter. It might freak her out to have to use a machine to start his heart in case it ever stops. I know it is freaking me out. I am also asking for a monitor to put on him when he is asleep because my biggest worry is that his heart will stop and I will not know it or I will be unsure if it is time to get the AED. Preferably something that beeps when his heart stops, the one we had on him when we first brought him home would beep everytime his heart would beat and that made it hard for him or us to get any sleep.

Anyhow on to other things. For those that have been asking my address is:
P.O. Box 81
Circleville, UT 84723
I have other things to post, but I have spent the whole day trying to get this one finished so i will end this one and post again later.

Trhanksgiving, New Baby, and New House

I apologize in advance, this is enough information for about 4 posts crammed into one eternally long one.
The last few weeks have been a whirlwind. We started it out by heading to Layton back on the 13th. I had to go up for meetings so Dustin went with me to watch Dalley. We were able to go see my brother Rowdy who just moved up to Roy. It was fun to see his new house and to visit his family. Dalley loved playing with his cousins. They were so cute with him, Tifnee and Britnee spent the whole night trying to find toys that he would like. Dalley also liked playing with Uncle Rowdy's beard. I am pretty mad though cause I didn't take my camera like I planned. Oh Well.

The next week we started moving Wednesday night. We took a load Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday we had to take Dalley for his 9 month check-up and also to meet with his cardiologist. The pediatrician told us that he is still too skinny. He only weighs 14 lbs, but he is 29" long so he is growing, just up not out. Next we went to Dr. Etheridge (the most awesome pediatric cardiologist ever, but also the only one I know) she examined Dalley and tried to explain his heart problem to us. He has Long QT Syndrome. There are a few types. The type he has is brought on by sleep. Our Dr. was unsure as to how to treat him because she has never treated a baby for it before, because usually it doesn't exhibit symptoms until the child is older. We only know he has it because of genetic testing we had done on him.The Dr was worried, because his EKG's have been normal, but he always has them during the day when he is awake. She needed a way to tell how his heart looked when he was asleep, so she sent us home with a Holter Monitor on him and boy was that interesting. He wasn't allowed to crawl for fear he would tear off the wires. We couldn't really let him move around much at all. To make matters worse we had to be out of our house that weekend so we had to move and keep an antsy baby happy. Luckily Dustin's sisters took turns watching him and his sister Haley even took him to the emergency room on Saturday to have the monitor taken off. We were all moved in on Saturday night, with the help of quite a few friends and family members.
The next week November 24 my audit started. It has been miserable. We are working till 8;00 at night and they are having us work weekends. I was lucky to get Thanksgiving off. My job is usually so good cause I get nights and weekends off and have a very flexible leave schedule.
We spent Thanksgiving with Dustin's family. Then on Saturday night we went down to see the cutest new baby ever!!! Ira Roger Hatch was born Thanksgiving morning. He is Shawn and Stina'a first baby and he is a handsome little devil. I am disappointed because I actually remembered to take a camera I just didn't get any pictures. We have decided that Dalley and Ira are going to be great friends. We are already planning to send them both to the ranch together during the summers. Grandpa can't wait till he gets all that help. We spent Saturday and Sunday in St. George. My parents took Dalley home with them so that I could work long hours. It was really hard and we didn't know what to do with ourselves. I cried all the way back to Circleville.
This Thursday my mom brought Dalley home and spent a few days helping me at work. She is the best mom ever.
Anyhow this post is getting marathon sized so here are a few pictures.
This is the best picture I have of the Holter,Dalley wasn't cooperating

Another picture of the monitor

Dalley's new obsession is with laundry, this is where I found him one day

Isn't that the cutest little crawler ever

This is my new house. New to me, not new to existence. I think it is the most wonderful house ever. It has been taken care of and it is so much bigger than the midget mansion we have been living in for the past two years. It was Dustin's grandma's house and it is on a dairy. i wake up to the sweet smell of corn silage and manure and I love every minute of it. I love that my house is surrounded by alfalfa fields and cows and that I have no close neighbors. I love that my house has a history. I am also excited that I will have room for my zoo of livestock. I will finally have room for my chickens, pigs, and turkeys that Dustin and I are planning on eventually adding to our livestock zoo of dogs and horses.

Amazing Sunset

So ever since I moved to Utah I have maintained that Nevada has way better sunsets. Tonight I saw one that rivals any I have seen though. It was so amazing I had to run out and take a picture of it. I used my work camera, which is amazing, so the pictures turned out really really great. Anyhow I have so much to catch up on but I am being audited at work so I don't have time for much these days. I even had to ship Dalley to Nevada for a week so I could work unlimited hours every day. I will update soon. Enjoy my pictures.

10-25-08

So I am behind on posting about my weekend a couple weeks ago. It was one of those weekends that happened spontaneously, but turned out wonderful. On Friday I called Shawn and asked him to meet me in Cedar cause I had baby stuff for them. They were coming over for a play anyway so it worked good. I told my mom they were coming and she told Luke and Kayce who decided to come and then my dad decided they should come. So we all met in Cedar Saturday morning. We started the day by going to the Western Heritage Festival. Celeste had a booth there as part of her temporary job so we stopped by to support her. Next we took the kids to Discovery Park so they could play while the adults talked. It was an awesome day and it was fun to have almost the whole family there. Ryan couldn't come because he was a hunting guide that weekend.
The next day on Sunday Dustin let me sleep in and when I got up he had breakfast cooked and had invited his sister's family over for breakfast. Then we went to Stake Conference. After conference we went for a drive up Beaver Mountain. It was gorgeous up there and we found a cool rock to take pictures on. After the mountain we went to Jill's house and she and I made homemade chicken noodle soup for supper. Then we all carved our pumpkins. It was a blast. I was surprised that even Dustin got into it

Oh, also to answer Brooke's question Dalley's birthday is February 28th. Isn't he just two weeks younger than your baby?
